*All performance, fuel consumption and emissions figures are provisional. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. Ford Edge 2018

The 2018 Ford Edge is a relative newcomer to the long list of storied Ford SUV names, but it's made its name already among families. Introduced in 2007, and in its second generation, the Edge slots nicely between the Explorer and Escape and will feature some of the brand's most advanced safety features next year. The Edge satisfies more than a few needs. It’s sleeker than the truck-infused Expedition, even the Explorer. It’s more spacious than the Escape. It’s also devoid of any off-road pretense, any faux-SUV ruggedness. The 2018 Edge comes in SE, SEL, Titanium, and Sport trim, with almost nothing changed save for a new package of gray trim and wheels.

The U.S. auto market is hot right now. FINANCE These are the 20 best-selling cars and trucks in America in 2018 Brian Pascus Aug 20, 2018, 9:44 AM ET Ford F 150 2018 FordThe 2018 Ford F-150. According to data compiled by Kelley Blue Book and Business Insider, the Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, and Ram Pickup are the top three best-selling vehicles in America through the first half of 2018. Pickup trucks and crossover SUVs dominate the American market right now. Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Toyota Tacoma all saw major year-over-year sales increases compared to this time in 2017. The U.S. auto market is hot right now. According to data compiled by Business Insider and Kelley Blue Book, the automotive research company, more than 8.5 million cars have been sold in the first half of 2018. In total, year-to-date new car sales are up nearly 2% over this time in 2017. Of the top-20 cars sold so far this year, 14 of them have positive sales growth numbers compared to their 2017 statistics. Crossover SUVs are clearly the vehicles Americans want. According to Kelley Blue Book, over 2.8 million compact or mid-size crossover SUVs have been sold in the first half of 2018 alone, a stunning number that portends big changes for the U.S. auto industry. In the top 20 rankings alone, half were crossover SUVs, with 10 models listed. The king, of course, is the indomitable Ford F-Series, the best-selling vehicle of any kind in America for the past 35 years. This year, the Ford F-Series outpaced its closest competitor in sales by the tune of 160,000 vehicles sold. To put this difference in perspective, thus far in 2018, the Chevrolet Equinox sold just over 156,000 cars total, good for 9th most in the entire country. Over the first six months of 2018, three models, in particular, saw substantial increases in sales over the same period last year: Jeep Cherokee is up 39.8%; Toyota Tacoma is up 22.9%; Jeep Wrangler is up 34.9%. Let's take a look now at the top-20 best-selling cars and trucks so far in 2018.
